How it began

It started with food for our own family

We wanted to grow healthier food and understand where it came from. Guided by regenerative and natural-farming principles, Arka Acres began as a personal family effort—not as a business or public attraction.

Then we noticed something else. Every time we came here, work stopped occupying our minds. Phones stayed away. We listened to birds, spent time with animals, touched the soil, and became present with one another.

We realized that healthier food and a meaningful connection with nature should not belong only to our family. The next generation needs it too.

The moment everything changed

The feeling of belonging

A place shaped by the best of rural life—open, grounded, and welcoming to everyone.

Open land. Animals nearby. Food connected to the soil. Children running freely. Families talking without constant digital distractions. Arka Acres shares a universal feeling of simplicity, warmth, community, and closeness to nature.

An unexpected purpose

We did not choose the cows. The cows chose us.

Rescuing cows and starting a goshala were never part of our original plan. The cows entered our lives gradually, and with every arrival came a responsibility we could not ignore.

What began with healthy food and nature grew into a commitment to provide cows with dignity, care, and a lifelong home. That responsibility became Arka Goshala.

Why Arka?

A name inspired by the Sun

Arka is a Sanskrit word for the Sun. Across cultures, the Sun represents life, energy, nourishment, knowledge, and the force that sustains every living being.

Healthy soil, growing food, animals, and human life all depend on that life-giving energy. We hope Arka can offer warmth, growth, and hope in its own small way.

For the next generation

Nature gives children room to open up

We see children become curious, expressive, and confident when they touch soil, feed an animal, and explore without pressure.

This can be especially meaningful for children who may not otherwise have access to farms, animals, or peaceful outdoor experiences. A few hours cannot solve every challenge, but they can create joy, curiosity, and a different way of seeing the world.
